Depth Charge TV & Radio -
Bring Us To Your City...

If you are a club owner and you wish to be involved with Depth Charge TV or Depth Charge Radio, fill in the form below and email it to us. Depth Charge is looking for Club owners/promoters that live in England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Europe and America who want to have their club regularly featured on possibly the biggest web based television network especially dedicated to Drum And Bass.

MTV has been one of the major carriers of commercial dance culture to the masses world wide.

The usual way of thinking of television does not apply to the web. If you think of any television channel then the usual concept is shaped around ownership. Web TV is based on the concept of "being involved".

Depth Charge would like to send a camera to your area so your event and the DJs can be filmed in action.

The Book, "I Want My Web TV" is a beginners guide to the web and its potential as a TV medium. What we know from books like "I Want My Web TV" and "Web TV For Dummies" is that mass media broadcasting is the future.

WebTV for Dummies

Net broadcasting, the accessing of information by a niche sector of society is what all broadcasters are looking at. Many TV stations have associated net broadcasts that support their programs. When it comes to advertising however, for any club owner/event promoter or DJ to advertise "through any TV station" would cost them an arm and a leg. The idea getting all Drum and Bass club owners involved in the Drum and Bass Network is based around the idea of promoting clubs, producers and DJs.

Broadcasting when there were only a few TV channels meant publishers could put together a TV guide and sell it for maybe £/$1.00. TV listings in their present format could be a thing of the past. New television systems like Tivo and an increasing number of television stations AND broadcast networks will mean that all music styles from Rock to RnB will have to manage their own broadcasting. A Music TV Guide may be the form of publication that covers web casts by genre.

Because Drum And Bass TV will focus on DJS, Producers and clubs, the future of the music will change for the better. New DJs and Producers will be able to get a bigger profile. More promoters will set up nights and have the ability to use the station to profile their event.

With the TV station focusing on the best clubs that use the best DJ Producers, the future for Drum and Bass has to expand.

The movie industry is already using the web and clips of all of the new movie releases are available on line. Although we are not sure how far away we are from using the web as a 24 hour broadcast medium, Depth Charge will be using the film footage from clubs around the world for TV Documentary submissions.

So send your details so that filming your event can be discussed.

When TV and The Web Are One
Televisions is seen as such a powerful force that billboards are now large screen televisions. What advantage does the net have over TV?
